Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 90682
formatting failed when first character is "-", "+" or "="
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:14:39 UTC
The bugs: 1) Enter "- testing only" into a cell without double quotes ("). 2) Double click that cell to edit it. 3) Highlight the word "only" & format it to BOLD or UNDERLINE it. Press Enter after finish formating. Note, the word "only" is NOT formated!!! Now, edit the sentence to remove the first character, dash(-). Repeat the step 2 & 3, note that the word "only" now is formated. Summary: Any word that start with character "-", "+" or "=", as what I've try, it didn't accept more than one type of formatting within the cell.
Hi Eike, please have a look
This seems to be a regression of issue 20496, the "enhanced" formula input. The input is tried to be parsed as a formula, which fails, and then the string is taken, not considering text attributes. Or similar such. @tbe: Thomas, one for you.
